The pattern for these coasters is made by Katherine Laight. I think these are such a cool decoration to have for the fall season! I’ve made these leaves with an array of colors, mixing and matching four together to make a set. I used acrylic yarn for my leaves, as they were strictly for decoration purposes. But, if you want to use the leaves as a hot plate, you ought to use cotton yarn! The cotton yarn is quite durable, so it can withstand heat without melting under a hot dish.
